One of the few verses we have in the Bible of Jesus' childhood is Luke 2:52 which reads, "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men" (NIV). This verse forms the basis of our ministry to children.
Have your children launch into a new week at Upstreet on Saturday evenings. This program provides a small group environment where students get an opportunity to investigate the Bible with hands-on activities and lessons. This class targets students Kindergarten through third grade. This program focuses on understanding and real life application of scripture rather than how fast we can move through it. Upstreet takes place in Room 209.
This program leaves traditional Sunday School and Children's Church behind and provides an out-of-this-world experience for children 6-9 years old. Upstreet is divided into different phases, including intro activities, worship, a fun drama, and small group discussion. This program focuses on understanding and real-life application of Scripture, rather than how fast we can move through it. There are three basic principles we desire your child to believe: (1) I can trust God no matter what. (2) I need to make wise choices. (3) I need to treat others the way I want to be treated. Upstreet takes place all Sunday morning in Room 209.
Kids for Christ (KFC) is a fun night of learning, worship, and more that your kids won't want to miss. In 2006-2007, KFC will focus on "Celebration," through learning about various Biblical celebrations. Your child will dig into God's Word, be challenged to memorize Scripture, take part in related activities, and sing popular Christian songs. You can be sure that your child will have a great time at KFC! To better teach your children, KFC is divided into an Elementary (ages 6-9) and a Preteen (ages 10-12) group, along with the Preschool (ages 4-5) group. KFC runs throughout the school year (Sept-Apr). Come Wednesday to see KFC in action.
