First Capital Christian Church began in November of 1990 when four
families came together to start a new church in Corydon. The first
several years, the church was very nomadic, using a number of buildings
to hold services. However, First Capital grew, and the Lord blessed.
The congregation finally bought and built on the current location, 305
Oliver Street, in 1998.
We don't have a written creed or a doctrinal statement. We don't even
try to single out a few beliefs as the most important ones. It's really
simplewe accept the Bible as God's Word. We believe it guides us to
the best possible life. We believe in the God pictured there, and we
have come to realize that God is bigger and better than we could ever
imagine! And yet, He not only created us, He loves us with a deep and
lasting personal love. We believe that Jesus is God showing Himself to
us, and we believe in His sacrificial death and miraculous
resurrection. We also believe that God wants a relationship with you
and would love to tell you how to begin a life-changing relationship
with Him.
